Joshua 14-24
Joshua 14-21
Property records
A long and detailed account of exactly what tribe got what land and where. It showed all of God's promises were fulfilled.
Joshua 22-24
The altar of the eastern tribes
Served as a reminder of their connection to the larger nation, even though they were far away. But they were almost chastised by the other tribes.
The story of the altar on the other side of the river serves as an important reminder on how your actions may appear to others. Even if you have the best intentions at heart, others may mistake them for something sinister. Always communicate with others to understand their real intentions.
Joshua's farewell address
Look at what God has done - hold fast to Him!
In short: Be bad, suffer the consequences. Be good, prosper.
